Piemonte Grande Passolo Chardonnay, Rocca Estate

The peculiarity of the terroir of Piedmont hills, together with the climate conditions, the low yield and the attentive and selective manual harvest of the well-matured grapes make it a unique wine.
The soft pressing of the grapes after harvest and a fermentation in steel tanks at a controlled temperature promote a pleasant mineral and citrussy nose with a well balanced and solid body. Full of tropical fruit pineapple and melon flavours on the palate. Pairs well with fish, white meats, salads and fresh cheese.
Angelo Rocca
At the end of XIX century, Francesco Rocca started his historical business by selling loose wine. In 1936 his son Angelo enhanced the wine production and built a cellar in Nardò, Apulia. In the 1960's the first bottling line was bought and thus started the distribution of products under the Rocca brand. Today, Ernesto Rocca (the founder's grandson) shares responsibility with his sons Paolo, Marco, Luca and Matteo who help run the family business, a business which also includes a construction company and a leading trot horse stud farm.
