The Lindores Abbey MCDXCIV marks the historic distillery’s first commercially available whisky, celebrating its legacy as the site of Scotland’s first recorded distillation in 1494. This Lowland single malt is matured in a combination of ex-bourbon, ex-sherry, and STR ex-Burgundy red wine casks, delivering a light yet richly layered profile. The nose is malty and crisp, opening with sherried spice, soft toffee pennies, hazelnut, and condensed milk, before unfolding into aromas of puff pastry, vanilla, Granny Smith apples, Conference pears, fresh dough, and buttercream. Ripe figs, plums, blueberries, orange rind, foam bananas, and dried cranberries add fruit depth, while subtle floral and herbal notes mingle with dark chocolate, salty porridge, and a hint of pipe tobacco. On the palate, the whisky is creamy yet lightly oily, with the 46% ABV giving it weight and presence. Nutmeg, clove, and cracked black pepper cut through creamy caramel and vanilla, balancing darker fruits and cooked apple, while marzipan, poached pears in red wine, chocolate digestives, burnt orange rind, and jam reveal further layers. The finish is medium-length, with drying bitter oak, syrupy anise, peppermint, and lingering orchard fruits and dairy cream, capturing the essence of Lindores’ historic new make in a remarkably elegant and expressive dram.

Free Delivery on Orders Over £120

Orders over £120 qualify for free delivery to mainland UK addresses.

Next Working Day Delivery

Where possible, orders placed before 2:00pm will be dispatched the same day, subject to stock availability. All orders are shipped using a next working day delivery service; however, delivery times cannot be guaranteed due to circumstances outside of our control.

Orders placed after 2:00pm on Friday will be dispatched on Monday for Tuesday delivery (excluding Bank Holidays).

Age Verification Deliveries

In line with UK alcohol licensing regulations, all alcohol deliveries require an adult aged 18 or over to be present at the delivery address to accept the order. Our delivery partners may request photographic identification as proof of age.

If no one over 18 is available to receive the parcel, the courier will leave a notification with instructions on how to rearrange delivery for a more suitable time.
